Cities in South Florida to visit in April

April! April showers bring May flowers. Here for me in North Florida, we’ve been getting rain and everything is nice and green with wildflowers bursting with color along the roads. But we still have a few chilly days before it warms up for the summer. Thinking about visiting Florida soon? I’d visit South. Here are my picks for Cities in South Florida to visit in April:

Miami Beach. Like the pic above, Miami Beach for many reasons including the beaches are gorgeous. Miami Beach is home to Lincoln Road and gorgeous South Beach. In addition to these two popular places, the Everglades are nearby to explore as well as Collins Avenue, Key Biscayne and more. Five star restaurants, hotels and bars make for fun nights. Fort Lauderdale. I’m a huge fan of Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas and beaches. You may remember reading about Hollywood Beach. If not you can read it here: Hollywood Beach Fort Lauderdale is not only a gorgeous beach but a popular destination for all ages. Love to shop? Beautiful Las Olas Boulevard will keep you occupied for hours. You’re also a hop, skip and a jump from Miami and can actually easily enjoy a weekend in both locations. Key West. I don’t think there is any bad month to visit the Florida Keys. Atlantic on one side; Gulf on the other. Hit two beautiful bodies of water in an afternoon. From fantastic fishing to out of this world restaurants and bars, your vacation will go by too quickly. Temps in the mid-80’s and thinning crowds as folks return home from Spring Break vacations in the keys, makes April the perfect time for a vacay to Key West. Naples. Over on the west coast, Naples can’t be beat for April vacations. Beautiful sugar sand beaches and miles of shore to explore for shelling, fishing, or simply watching the waves. Love the outdoors? Rent a kayak and explore the many mangroves and shoreline. You might see a dolphin or manatee. Finish the day by watching the gorgeous sunset from the beach or on the Naples Pier. There are a few more that I’ll be adding to this list but as of today, these are definitely my top 4. Let me know if you visit!
