What To Expect With Christmas at Walt Disney World

As mentioned above, Disney comes to life during the holidays. That’s not to say it isn’t fun the rest of the year, but it is truly magical during Christmas.

My favorite time to visit WDW? The International Flower & Garden Festival held in the spring. It’s beautiful!

But that is for another article. This article is about Christmas at Walt Disney World. Let’s dig in!

When you walk into the park, you step into a world draped in holiday charm. Each park transforms into a mesmerizing holiday wonderland.

The iconic Cinderella Castle adorned with twinkling lights, Main Street decked out in garlands, and festive parades and performances fill the air with holiday songs.

Seasonal Delights at Every Turn

Special Holiday Attractions

Experience beloved attractions with a holiday twist! From “It’s a Small World” dressed in yuletide decor to the stunning Candlelight Processional, each ride and show adds a touch of festive magic.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

This exclusive after-hours event is the epitome of Christmas joy! Enjoy a winter parade, spectacular fireworks, and the chance to meet favorite Disney characters decked out in their holiday best.

Memorable Festive Souvenirs

You will definitely want to grab something to remember your trip. The souvenir shops brim with holiday-themed merchandise. Find that perfect ornament or unique gift to commemorate your magical visit.

My favorite thing to do? Is to buy the photos WDW takes throughout the park. This way you don’t need to stress and worry about pics and can enjoy the day.

So, Is It Worth It?

My opinion? Absolutely. Especially if you have not been to Disney during the holidays.

Visiting Walt Disney World during Christmas is not just a trip; it’s a magical journey. A few things to keep in mind though before packing your bags:

  • Crowds: It’s peak season, so anticipate larger crowds.
  • Planning: Advanced reservations for dining and accommodations are crucial.
  • Save: Save by eating breakfast in your room/hotel before heading to the park.
  • Weather: Florida’s weather can be unpredictable, so prepare for both cool evenings and mild days. As I write this today, it is 50 degrees in my part of the Sunshine State.

At the end of the day, Disney’s holiday charm might just outweigh any potential inconvenience. Simple seeing the joy and wonder on your children’s faces, the glittering decorations, and the magic of the holiday season makes it an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

So, if you’re ready to unwrap the gift of Disney’s magical holiday spirit, Orlando’s Walt Disney World during Christmas might just be the most enchanting destination on Earth.
