Kissimmee, Florida is a city located in Osceola County, just south of Orlando. It is a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to major theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld.
I really love Kissimmee. First time I visited this quaint town was on our first trip to Walt Disney World. We actually stayed in Kissimmee because it was much less expensive for us.
As a young family with no back-up after moving to Florida, we did a lot of road trips and camping. On our first visit to Magic Kingdom, we were able to stay in a mini suite in Kissimmee that was like 75% less than a Disney resort.
All the benefits but definitely less expensive. In addition to the theme parks, you can enjoy a variety of activities in Kissimmee, including shopping, dining, outdoor recreation, and entertainment.
Of course one of the main draws of Kissimmee is its theme parks. Walt Disney World, one of the most popular theme parks in the world, is located just a few miles north of the city.
Universal Studios and SeaWorld are also nearby, making Kissimmee an ideal location for families and thrill-seekers alike.
In addition to theme parks, Kissimmee offers a variety of other attractions, including Old Town, a shopping and entertainment complex, Gatorland, a wildlife preserve and NASA Cape Canaveral in Cocoa Beach.
After spending the day in Magic Kingdom, we walked around Old Town and enjoyed some downtime before heading back to our room
