Mistletoe Margarita Christmas Beach Cocktail

I don’t know about you, but margaritas in any way, shape and form instantly brings me to the beach. So what’s better during the holidays than this Mistletoe Margarita?

At dinner not long ago, I decided to give this cocktail a try. It was so good! Refreshing with just the right touch of sweetness.

The color alone is quite festive and as far as I’m concerned tequila is great any time of the year. Often, holiday cocktails can be on the heavy side. This cocktail is big on flavor, but not as filling as other seasonal options like Eggnog or Hot Buttered Rum.

And as mentioned above, who doesn’t want a reminder of a hot summer day at the beach when there is snow on the ground. Easy to make too and fantastic all year long.

Mistletoe Margarita Ingredients

The ingredients below are to make one margarita. You can also increase the quantities for more than one or even a pitcher.

1 shot (1.5 ounces) tequila. I still use Patron as my go-to tequila.

1 ounce Triple Sec or Cointreau, which is my preference

2 shots or 3 ounces cranberry juice

1 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice

Cranberries or cherries for garnish

Ice

Mistletoe Margarita Recipe

Fill your shaker cup with ice.

Measure and pour ingredients into the shaker, except the cranberries or cherries.

Shake. Shake. Shake!

Pour into a margarita glass and tumbler. Garnish with cranberries or cherries.

That is it! Quite simple right? Tip: You can also make this as a special cocktail for Valentine’s Day.
