Is there anything more perfect for enjoying on the beach than a Blue Hawaiian cocktail? Even the color of this delicious cocktail instantly transports you to your happy place.
You have probably figured out, I enjoy a cocktail especially a beach-themed cocktail. Doesn’t matter if I’m at the beach or at home. Beach cocktails are my favorite.
I have been sharing my favorite cocktails, but my list is expanding! This Blue Hawaiian Cocktail is not only delicious, you can make it with either rum or vodka.
The first time I tried this blue cocktail, I was on a cruise ship. I thought what is that blue drink people are walking around with?

I asked a woman, and she said “oh my gosh. It’s a blue Hawaiian. You have to try it.” Of course, I did. Sold! It was so GOOD!
Now every time I go to the beach including my last trip to Panama City Beach, I order this cocktail. You will want to do so too after you get a taste!
I prefer rum especially coconut rum but try both to see what works better for you. Ready to give it a go? All right! Easy recipe below.
How to make a Blue Hawaiian Cocktail At Home
Keep in mind, this recipe is for the Blue HAWAIIAN cocktail. There is also a Blue Hawaii cocktail, but it is made just a bit differently. I’ll post that recipe soon.
The Blue Hawaiian Cocktail was invented in Hawaii in the 1950’s. It is still one of the best beach cocktails you will ever taste. Enjoy!
Ingredients:

- 1 oz Rum (I prefer Coconut Rum)
- 1 oz Blue Curaçao liqueur
- 1 oz cream of coconut
- 2 oz pineapple juice
- Pineapple slice, orange slice, maraschino cherry – whatever you’d like to garnish with.
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend with 1 cup of ice.
Tweak to fit your taste buds. Enjoy!
