Easy Alabama Slammer Cocktail Recipe For Summer

It’s summer. We do not want to overcomplicate anything, including our summer cocktails. So today, I bring you this easy Alabama Slammer Cocktail recipe!

Are you excited? Good! There is nothing better than sipping a delicious, fruity Alabama Slammer Cocktail while sitting at the beach, on the porch or at the pool.

And of course, you know me! Easier is definitely better. I have been making Alabama Slammers for over 40 years now.

One of the first shots I learned to make way back in the day when I was a bartender. Are you ready? Great! Let’s get started.

Easy Alabama Slammer Cocktail Ingredients

Let’s pull our ingredients together. I do, however, recommend you choose higher alcohol proof for the Sloe Gin and Amaretto. The reason is the lower alcohol content options are VERY sweet.

You may remember that if you have ever enjoyed an Alabama Slammer shot while out and about. To make this cocktail, you will need the following:

1 ounce Southern Comfort

1 ounce Sloe Gin (I use 53 proof Hayman’s Sloe Gin)

1 ounce Amaretto (I use Disaronno Amaretto)

2 ounces Orange Juice

Maraschino Cherry and Orange Slice (Garnish)

Cocktail Instructions

First, grab that cocktail shaker and fill it about halfway with ice. Pour all ingredients into the shaker cup, except for the garnish.

Shake. Shake. Shake it up! Maybe do a little dance and keep on shaking.

Pour into a cocktail glass, add garnish and enjoy!
