One of the things I love best about traveling is trying the local cocktails. Key West definitely delivered with their cocktails one of which I loved Rum Sunset Cocktail. So good!
Imagine sitting on the dock, sipping a decadent cocktail as you watch the boats entering and leaving the marina. I literally could sit there all day long.
After our sunset cruise, we stopped at one of the local bars near the marina where I enjoyed a Rum Sunset Cocktail doing just that. It was so good that I had to write about it and give you the easy recipe below.
I have a few more beach cocktails from Key West that I will be adding here for you to also make at home. Definitely a fantastic trip! Ready? Here you go:

Rum Sunset 3 ingredients:
- 12 ounces orange juice
- 3 ounces light or dark rum. Whatever you prefer. Or spice it up with Spiced Rum. You can even choose a coconut rum for a twist.
- Splash Grenadine
- Garnish with lime slice and cherry.
Rum Sunset Cocktail Recipe Directions
First add ice then the rum of your choice to a tall cocktail glass.
Next, slowly pour the orange juice into the glass.
Finally, pour the grenadine into the center of the glass and allow it to sink to the bottom. You can leave it like this with a garnish or slowly stir to create a sunset effect.
And that is it. Pretty simple right? Below are a few more cocktails to try at home. Salute!
