Guide to Beachfront Vacation Rentals in Florida (February-March)
As winter’s chill lingers, you might be thinking about a nice, warm getaway. Beachfront Vacation Rentals in Florida are some of the best options to consider.
Florida, with its promising warm sands and sea breezes and plenty of things to do, makes this a fun trip for anyone from a solo woman traveler, a couple or families. Unfortunately, when it comes to beach vacation rentals, prices are up quite a bit.
I don’t usually write a guide like this. I’ll be honest. It’s not easy to navigate and provide correct information as things are constantly changing.
With the increase in pretty much everything, I have had sticker shock for many things, including the cost of a hotel room for a night. Personally? It’s less expensive to look at a rental on VRBO or Airbnb.

If you are traveling with family or friends, you can split the cost of your rental. This immediately lowers the cost of the rate per night.
Below are options that range from the top of the price range for luxury in high-end beach towns to affordable beachfront condos and homes that stretch your vacation budget.
Find what works best for you and your adventures. At the bottom of this article, are links to help you research the best options further.
Most Expensive Beach Towns:
Miami Beach
I love Miami Beach. This beach destination screams luxury, glamour, and fun. There are several upscale vacation rentals along the iconic South Beach and Ocean Drive – right in the middle of all the fun.
If you love entertainment, great restaurants and fabulous nightlife, Miami Beach is where opulent beachfront homes offer upscale accommodations.
Naples
Naples is sophistication. In this beach town, you will find beautiful beaches as well as upscale dining. Port Royal, offers luxurious vacation rentals where privacy meets elegance.

Key West
I love Key West’s unique charm and history and recently vacationed there for a week. While there, I was chatting with a couple who would be returning to spend winter on the island. They told me the rental would be $4500/month.
That seemed high, but after checking rates after my vacation, I found they varied from $2500 to $8000/month. Old Town’s architectural wonders are really nice, while oceanfront rentals provide an exclusive retreat for those desiring the extraordinary.
Least Expensive Beach Towns:
Now that you have an idea for the more upscale vacation rentals in the Sunshine State, let’s take at the lesser expensive options.
Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach is a family-friendly and budget-conscious option. Enjoy the Boardwalk, speedway, nearby state parks as well as other nearby beach towns such as New Smyrna Beach and Flagler Beach.
Fort Myers Beach
Fort Myers Beach offers a relaxed atmosphere with white sandy shores and beautiful Gulf waters. Located in the Southwest part of the state, it offers a range of rental options including budget-friendly beachfront vacation homes
Pensacola Beach
The Florida Panhandle is my favorite spot of all. But, in the winter months into spring, it is cooler in this part of the state than those farther south.
Pensacola Beach gives you a laid back kind of stay on the Gulf Coast. The historic Pensacola Beach Boardwalk is a hub of activity.
This area has some affordable beachfront rentals, which makes it an inviting for families seeking a getaway from hectic day-to-day living for a few days.
Options for Vacation Home Rentals:
You have quite a few options for researching the best Beachfront Vacation Rentals in Florida for your vacation. The top sites include:

For variety and convenience, start with platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo stand out. Browse a range of vacation rentals, read reviews, and secure your ideal beachfront haven with just a few clicks. You can start here: Beachfront Vacation Rentals
Local Vacation Rental Agencies
If you have not visited an area, your best option could be a local vacation rental agency. This allows you to benefit from their expertise, local insights, and service. Explore the charm of Florida’s beach towns through the eyes of those who know them best.
Hotels
One more option to consider is your favorite hotel on your favorite beach. Often beachfront hotels offer short term rental options more affordable than homes.
You also benefit from the morning breakfasts, room cleaning, and onsite options such as a heated pool, restaurant and more.
Hopefully this helps you start your research and find your perfect option for an escape to a beach in Florida. Book in advance, explore the beach towns and let the Sunshine State warm you up for a few weeks or months.
Whether you prefer a more upscale accommodation or are seeking an affordable haven, you can bet there is an option for you.
