Not sure about you, but at this point in February, I am so ready for Spring and Summer. Today’s Spicy Jalapeño Margarita cocktail recipe makes it a bit easier to know they are both right around the corner.
Personally, I think every day of the year is a great day for a margarita. There is something about relaxing with a good margarita and chips and salsa.
Adding a little bit of spice takes it to the next level. Your favorite margarita packing a punch.
Even better? As easy to make as your favorite margarita. The only difference is that you will need to tweak it to your preferences.

Some of us like it a bit spicier with more jalapeños, while others prefer it a bit tamer. Ready? Let’s make a Spicy Jalapeño Margarita!
Spicy Jalapeño Margarita Cocktail Recipe Ingredients
If you have been with me any time, you know I prefer to get all the ingredients together before I start making anything including cocktails.
I try to keep these cocktail recipes as simple as possible. These few things are what you need to make a spicy jalapeño margarita:
2 ounces Blanco Tequila (I use Patron Silver, but use your favorite.)
1/2 ounce Orange Liquor (I use Cointreau)
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 ounce Agave Syrup or Honey if desired
2 slices fresh jalapeño seeds removed
Spicy Jalapeño Margarita Cocktail Recipe Instructions
First, take a slice of lime and use it to rim the top of the margarita glass you will be using. Dip the rim into a plate of margarita salt.
Next, take your two jalapeño slices, and place into a shaker cup. Use a muddler or something similar to smash up the slices, which releases the juice.
Add ice and the remaining ingredients to the shaker cup, including the agave syrup or honey if designed. Put on some music and shake it up!
Place ice into your margarita glass and strain the margarita from the shaker cup in to your glass. Garnish with a slice of lime or slices of jalapeño if you want even more spice.
Sip and enjoy! Salute!
