Red White And Blue Jello Shots Ingredients

  • 1 package red jello/strawberry
  • 1 package blue jello/berry blue
  • Knox jello 2 packets
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Vodka. Sometimes I opt for blueberry or vanilla vodka.
  • Plastic cups with lids

These fun jello shots are easy to make but do take time. Plan roughly 2 hours for each layer.

Easy Directions To Make Patriotic Red White And Blue Jello Shots

You make one layer at a time starting with the blue. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add to the blue jello mix and stir until dissolved.

After blue jello is dissolved, add 1 cup of cold vodka. I put the vodka I’m using in the refrigerator the day before I plan to use it.

Let cool. Place the plastic cups you will be using onto a tray and pour even amounts of the blue jello mixture into the cups. Place in refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours.

For the white layer, you will be using the Knox gelatin. Pour the 2 packets into a bowl then add 1/4 cup warm water – not hot. Mix. To that add the condensed milk stir until it is a thicker consistency like kids play goo.

To that mixture, add 3/4 boiling water then add 1 cup of cold vodka, continuously stirring. If you are using vanilla vodka, an easy way to take it up a notch is with a teaspoon of real vanilla extract.

Slowly pour this white jello over the chilled blue layer. Return to the refrigerator for roughly 2 hours until set.

Next is the red layer. Repeat everything you did for the blue layer. Again let the dissolved red jello mixture cool then add 1 cup of cold vodka.

Slowly pour the red jello above the white. Return to the refrigerator again for 2 hours to let the red jello set.

This recipe will make about 24 jello shots. You can add fun sprinkles, whipped cream or both to jazz them up.

That’s it! Not hard at all right? Plan things to do while each layer of the jello shot sets and the time will go by quickly. Salute!
