Christmas In July Cocktail Cranberry Orange Vodka Slush
A Christmas in July Cocktail needs to be festive but refreshing at the same time. I’m going to be honest, I’ve not celebrated Christmas in July until this year, but it’s turning out to be fun planning the day.
So when it was time to consider what cocktails should be served, besides the normal beer and wine, I started my search down the rabbit hole. I found this recipe for a Cranberry Orange Vodka Slush or Slushy – depending on what you call it.
The best part? It serves 24 people. Perfect not only for a Christmas in July party but any party.

Christmas In July Cocktail Cranberry orange Vodka Slush
As you know, I like to get the ingredients out in front of me to make life that much easier. You will need:
2 cups Vodka. I prefer Grey Goose but use your favorite.
8 cups Lemon Lime Soda (Sprite & 7-Up both make lemon lime sodas or use generic)
9 cups water
2 cups sugar (to YOUR taste. 2 cups is too sweet for me, so I reduce it.)
1 can frozen cranberry juice – PARTIALLY thawed
1 can frozen orange juice – PARTIALLY thawed
3/4 cup lemonade concentrate – PARTIALLY thawed
Christmas In July Cocktail Instructions
Get out a BIG bowl. A bowl you can freeze is even better, but it must be at least 5 to 6 quart size. Also, if you are using a punch bowl, make sure it can hold this amount of liquid.
Mix water and sugar until sugar dissolves.
Add in juice, lemonade and vodka. Keep stirring as you add into the bowl.
Place freezer safe bowl with liquid into the freezer overnight.
On the day you plan to serve, remove from the freezer just enough time that you can get a metal spoon or ice cream scooper into it.
Scoop into a serving cup or glass until it’s roughly 2/3 full. Add lemon-lime soda to fill to the top. It’s better in opinion to use smaller cocktail glasses.
Garnish with cranberries, strawberries, raspberries or any other festive red fruit. Serve & enjoy!
And that is it! A little planning goes a long way for such a refreshing cocktail on a hot summer day.
Let me know how you like it. Salute!
