Anastasia State Park
Located in St. Augustine, Anastasia State Park is a popular destination for camping with your dog. The park offers over 1,600 acres of pristine beaches, nature trails, and camping sites. And this Sunshine State Park is so gorgeous you won’t want to live.
Dogs are welcome in designated areas of the park, including the campground, beach, and hiking trails. Just make sure to keep your dog on a leash at all times and clean up after them.
Fort De Soto Park
Fort De Soto Park, located in Pinellas County, is a must-visit for camping dog owners. The park has a designated dog beach where your pup can run and play off-leash.
Be sure not to let your dog drink the water though. I always carry fresh water and a foldable bowl with me.
There are camping sites available for you and your furry friend to spend the night. Be sure to follow the rules and regulations for pets, including keeping them on a leash in non-designated areas.
Jonathan Dickinson State Park
Jonathan Dickinson State Park, located in Hobe Sound, is a great spot for camping with your dog. The park offers over 13,000 acres of diverse landscapes, including pine flatwoods, mangroves, and sand pine scrub.
Dogs are welcome in designated areas of the park, including the campground, hiking trails, and picnic areas. Always keep your dog on a leash and clean up after them.
Ocala National Forest
Ocala National Forest, located in central Florida, is a popular destination for camping and outdoor activities. The forest offers over 600 campsites, many of which are dog-friendly.
Dogs are welcome in designated areas of the forest, including campgrounds, hiking trails, and swimming areas. I always seem to pick up ticks on myself in the forests. Be sure you have up-to-date tick and flea meds on your furry family member.
Bahia Honda State Park
Located in the Florida Keys, Bahia Honda State Park is a beautiful destination for camping with your dog. The park offers over 80 campsites, many of which are pet-friendly.
Dogs are welcome in designated areas of the park in the Florida Keys near Key West. This includes the campground, beach, and hiking trails. Follow pet leash rules as well as pick up any pet waste and dispose properly.
