How To Make a Mudslide Cocktail
Do you like cocktails that are like dessert? Then you will love today’s Mudslide cocktail recipe!
The Mudslide has been around for quite some time and for good reason. It’s SO good! Just like a Bushwacker really hits the spot at the beach, so will a mudslide.
The history of mudslides is actually very interesting. Its origins go back to the 1970s in the Cayman Islands.
Both the Bushwacker and Mudslide are thick, delicious cocktails. Dessert in a glass. The difference is the Bushwacker is more tropical as it uses rum and coconut cream, whereas the Mudslide uses vodka.

Ready to make a Mudslide? Let’s do it!
Mudslide Cocktail Ingredients.
First, let’s pull everything we will need.
1 ounce Vodka (I use Grey Goose)
1 ounce Kahlua
1.5 ounces Baileys (1 shot)
1.5 ounces Heavy Whipping Cream or 2 scoops Ice Cream for a frozen version
Hershey’s Syrup
How To Make A Mudslide
Now that we have everything pulled together, let’s make a cocktail. It is VERY simple.
Place all ingredients plus ice into a shaker cup. Shake. Shake. Shake.
Grab your cocktail glass and hold it in a way you can easily turn it while keeping at an angle. Drizzle the Hershey’s chocolate syrup along the inside of your glass.
Pour the ingredients in your shaker cup into your glass. Add additional ice if needed.
Now if you want to make a frozen Mudslide cocktail, you will pour everything including ice into a blender using the ice cream instead of the heavy whipping cream. Blend until smooth, then pour into a glass drizzled with Hershey’s syrup.
And you know? You and all your friends are going to love this cocktail so much, I’m going to say you’re welcome 😉
Below are a few other cocktails to try including a Bushwacker:
