Ultimate 5-Day Florida Road Trip In February
Road trip? In FEBRUARY? Brrr! Not in the Sunshine State. Enjoy an ultimate 5-Day Florida Road Trip In February to the cities I have listed below.
Florida’s Southeast Atlantic coastline offers beautiful, warm road trip options to sun-soaked beaches and charming towns. The kind of road trip that says, “Hey! Stop and relax a bit.”
Ready to venture on a 5-day road trip, exploring the inviting beach towns below Daytona Beach, where warm relaxation meets scenic beauty? Let’s go!
Ultimate 5-Day Florida Road Trip In February, Southeast Coastline
We are starting this 5-day road trip in Daytona Beach and working South. The reason is that you can fly into several large airports, including Orlando.
This makes it not only easy to book your flight, but better options for car rentals as well. Also, February is a less crowded month for hotel rentals, and you should be able to get something on the beach at an affordable rate.
Day 1: Daytona Beach to New Smyrna Beach Begin your journey in Daytona Beach, known for its vibrant atmosphere and historic Speedway.
Next, cruise southward to New Smyrna Beach. NSB is not only a haven for surfers but beach and nature lovers also. Enjoy the laid-back vibe, catch some waves, and explore the nearby State Parks.
Day 2: New Smyrna Beach to Cocoa Beach Continue your road trip towards Cocoa Beach, famed for its surf culture and space exploration history.
Visit the iconic Cocoa Beach Pier, where you can dine, shop, and enjoy breathtaking ocean views. If you have time, dive into the world of space at the nearby Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Day 3: Cocoa Beach to Vero Beach Travel further south to Vero Beach, a serene coastal oasis and one of my favorites in this part of the state.
Enjoy uncrowded beaches, explore the McKee Botanical Garden for a touch of nature’s, and discover the city’s artistic side at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
Day 4: Vero Beach to Fort Pierce. Head south to Fort Pierce, which offers a blend of history and relaxation.
In this area, you can explore the Navy SEAL Museum, a unique tribute to the elite military unit. Also take a stroll along Fort Pierce Inlet State Park for stunning beach views.
Day 5: Fort Pierce to West Palm Beach. As you venture toward West Palm Beach, where sophistication meets sun-kissed shores, enjoy fun shopping, beautiful beaches and more.
You can shop on Worth Avenue, wander through the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, or explore the Norton Museum of Art before dropping your rental at your departure airport.
If you are heading back to Daytona Beach, keep watch for attractions on your way north on I-95.
This ends our Ultimate 5-Day Florida Road Trip In February, but don’t worry! I’m working on a few other 5-day road trip itineraries for the Sunshine State and will publish shortly.
